Chinese Government Scholarships (CSC)

 The Chinese government offers various scholarship programs through the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) to international students who wish to pursue undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral studies in Chinese universities. These scholarships cover tuition fees, accommodation, and a monthly stipend to cover living expenses.



The application process for CSC scholarships usually starts from December to April, depending on the university and program. Students can apply through the CSC online application system or directly to the university they wish to attend.

In addition to academic programs, there are also scholarships available for students who wish to study Chinese language or participate in exchange programs. MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) programs in China are also popular among international students, and many universities offer scholarships for these programs as well.

It's important for students to research and choose the right scholarship program and university that best suits their needs and academic goals.

The CSC scholarship program has three categories: A, B, and C.

  • Category A scholarships are for students who apply through the Chinese embassy in their home country or the embassy of their country in China. These scholarships are full scholarships that cover tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses.
  • Category B scholarships are for students who apply directly to Chinese universities that offer the scholarship program. These scholarships also cover tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses.
  • Category C scholarships are for students who apply through other sources, such as their home university or a third-party organization. These scholarships only cover tuition fees and do not provide accommodation or living expenses.

It's important for students to carefully read the scholarship requirements and choose the right category based on their eligibility and application method.
