To access the official master's education, it will be necessary to be in possession of an official Spanish university degree or another issued by a higher education institution of the EEES that teaches in the country issuing the degree for access to the master's education.

Likewise, people with degrees in accordance with educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area will be able to access, without the need for their degrees to be approved, after the UDC verifies that they have a level of training equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and entitle in the issuing country of the degree for access to postgraduate education. Access through this route will not imply, in any case, the approval of the previous title that the interested person is in possession of, nor its recognition for purposes other than that of studying for a master's degree.

Graduates from educational systems other than the EEES who request access to the official university master's courses that qualify them for the exercise of a regulated profession must have their degree approved or declared equivalent by the competent ministry. In an exceptional way, they can submit the application for pre-registration in university masters that qualifies for the exercise of a regulated profession, attaching the justification of having started the aforementioned process. The master's academic/selection committee may authorize conditional enrollment for these applicants, but they will not be able to defend their Master's Thesis or obtain the master's degree until they obtain the corresponding approval or declaration of equivalence.

General documentation requirements for all applicants:

  1. They must be official documents issued by the competent authorities.
  2. If the documentation is in a language other than Galician or Spanish, it must be accompanied by an official translation, which must be done by a sworn, Spanish translation professional or authorized in the country of origin by the Spanish Consulate. https://www.exteriores.gob.es/es/ServiciosAlCiudadano/Paginas/Traductores-Interpretes-Jurados.aspx
  3. The official translation will not be necessary when they are written in English, French, Portuguese or Italian, in these cases the translation made by the interested person is sufficient, if there is a discrepancy, the translation made by the UDC will prevail.
    • In the case of translated documentation, they must present copies of:
      • original untranslated documents (without translator's stamp)
      • original translated documents (with translator's stamp)
  4. All documents will be certified copies.
  5. If they present simple copies in the pre-registration, when registering they must present the originals for verification.
  6. The Master's committee may request more documentation.

Academic documents issued abroad (degrees and academic certifications) must be presented legalized, through the diplomatic channel, or through the Hague Apostille.

To legalize them diplomatically, they must present them to one of the following bodies:

  • Ministry of Education of the country where the documents were issued.
  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where the documents were issued.
  • Diplomatic or consular representation of Spain in that country.

To legalize documents issued by countries that are signatories to the Hague Convention, they must be submitted to:

  • Ministry of Education of the country where the documents were issued.
  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs or corresponding ministry of the country where the documents were issued.

Exceptionally, and due to the advance of the pre-registration calendar, students who are going to defend their TFG and undertake to deliver the final academic certification and the degree application before 11:59 p.m. on July 11, 2023 will be able to pre-register in the first term of the ordinary procedure.

They must present a responsible declaration that they are in a position to defend the TFG with the commitment to deliver the final academic certification and the degree application before this date. To download the form click here

Provisionally, they will upload this responsible declaration to the SIGMA platform in the space reserved for the "Access Qualification" until they have the application for the qualification.
